HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
Off the beaten path. We capture unique and candid moments. It is very important for us to document honest and true feelings.
DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER’S PERSPECTIVE FOR OUR WEDDING DAY?
Get yourself a nice place with lots of natural light for your getting ready photos, keep lighting as simple as possible. Big windows or an outdoor location is what we recommend. NEVER use colored mood lighting at your reception. Have your ceremony close to the sunset if you’re getting married outside. Great outdoors are prettier backdrops than indoor locations most of the time. Do not rush things, enjoy your day as much as possible and make sure your logistics are simple.
CAN WE HAVE RAW/UNEDIT PHOTOS?
Nope. Editing plays a crucial role in photography. Asking for unedited shots is like going to the restaurant and asking a chef to bring you the raw ingredients so you can make yourself a meal. We deliver only complete work and we will make sure you have plenty.
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS/PHOTOSHOOTS?
We love to travel! Currently we are located in Chicago, Illinois and are available for travel to all 50 US states. All our packages include Chicago area and surrounding suburbs. Travel fee applies to all other destinations (transportation, accommodation, food). We do not fly first class and stay in the Four Seasons, but we need a decent place to sleep and some kind of transportation to reach you.
SHOULD WE FEED OUR PHOTOGRAPHERS/VIDEOGRAPHERS?
As a human beings we need food to produce energy, without energy we cannot function properly. So, please, do feed us. We spend most of the our time running around and taking pictures and we will not be able to go out and get ourselves a proper meal. Please, make sure we have a place to store all our equipment and have a decent hot meal. Nothing fancy, vendor meal will do and maybe a piece of cake (for Lidiya).
DO YOU SHOOT WEDDINGS ONLY?
Mostly weddings but we also shoot elopements, engagement sessions and family shoots.
DO YOU BOTH ATTAND EVERY WEDDING TOGETHER?
We try to work together as much as possible and assist each other at most of our weddings but the only way we can guarantee both shooters is if you either book both photo and video or book one of us as a second shooter. Sometimes we get booked on the same day for separate weddings (ex. Alex would be filming one while Lidiya is photographing another).
WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING PROCESS?
We require 40% retainer to reserve the date and a signed contract. That's it.
WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES/VIDEOS?
We get it, Wedding pics are a BIG deal and should be served hot. We will make sure you will get them ASAP, generally 2-4 weeks.
EXTRA CHARGES/HIDDEN FEES?
Our pricing is 100% transparent. All the possible charges are in the contract. We do not charge any hidden fees and all the taxes are included in the packages.
HOW DO WE GET OUR PHOTOS/VIDEOS?
All the edited images are high resolution, print ready, JPEG files uploaded to the online gallery, you can share it using the link with all your close ones.
Highlights Videos are in 4k quality, Documentaries are FULL HD. Online delivery.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT TO OUR WEDDING?
While it’s not probable it is possible. If some unforeseen events do occur, we work with different photographers who has similar to ours shooting style and will be able to ask one of our favorite people to cover for us. We will still do all the editing.
DO YOU HELP WITH POSING?
Definitely! Although we will stay invisible during the ceremony and all the important moments, we will still give you the directions and guide you through posing. Mostly we document everything as your wedding day unfolds.
